BROTHERS IN ARMS: Brian Tarquin & Heavy Friends

A personal campaign sponsored by Brian Tarquin

February 3, 2023

I'm participating in an amazing fundraising event and I need your support!

I am a longtime music producer/guitarist and put this fantastic album together with some of my noted friends as, Joe Satriani, Vinnie Moore (UFO), Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (Guns N’ Roses), Alex De Rosso (Dokken), Travis Stever (Coheed & Cambria), Jeff Duncan (Armored Saint), Johannes Weik (Son of a Bach), Gerald Gradwohl (Tangerine Dream), Chris Haskett (Henry Rollins Band). I composed, produced and performed on all these songs with these iconic guitarists and used session drummer Reggie Pryor. I recorded it entirely at my recording facility called Jungle Room Studios. It is an extensive analog/digital studio featuring a modified classic 1980’s British Trident 24 recording console, an Otari MTR 90 2” analog tape machine, and a vintage Ampex 440c 1/4” 2 track analog tape machine. Along with classic outboard gear such as, the Neve Compressor 33609, Rupert Neve Designs Portico II Master Buss Processor, Neve 1074, Chandler ltd Germanium Compressor, and a host of other gear including an array of microphones, guitars & amplifiers. I love working in the analog domain because it sounds just like the records I grew up with in the 60’s and 70’s, nothing sounds like drums and bass on analog tape! I even recorded final mixes down to 1/4” tape and the mastering was done by David Glasser at Airshow Studios in Boulder, Colorado from those 1/4” tapes. No copy & paste, real performances from the heart!

All for the purpose to raise as much as I can for this incredible cause and I’m asking for your help. Will you join with me by making a tax-deductible donation? It’s fast and easy to do, and many will benefit from your generosity.

Thank you for your support!

Here are some quotes from the guest guitarists!

“Sounds Great! I’m honored to play a solo on the track ‘Speed of Sound,’ and to be a part of the ‘Brothers in Arms’ album. Brian is a very prolific writer, cheers to him!”
Joe Satriani

“It was a lot of fun playing on ‘Kiss My Axe.’ Very cool to be on Brian’s record with so many amazing players. Loved laying down some licks over this groovy burnin’ song.”
Vinnie Moore (UFO)

"It's a great honor to be part of this album, in support of our beloved veterans and their families. They deserve the very best.”
Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (Guns N’ Roses, Asia, Sons Of Apollo)

"It’s a big honour to be part of this project with all these great guitarists! On the same record with some of my heroes - yeah!!"
Gerald Gradwohl (Tangerine Dream)

"It was an absolute honor to be asked by Brian Tarquin to take part in his “Brothers in Arms” benefit compilation. Along with Brian I got to be amongst an incredible list of musicians that have inspired myself and many others I know. All for a crucial cause. To honor and give back to those who dedicate their lives to defending our lives."
Travis Stever (Coheed & Cambria)

A honour and a privilege to be involved in this great project for a good cause!
Alex De Rosso (Dokken)

"It's such an honor to be part of this album amongst all these fantastic guitarists! And it was a lot of fun to record the guitar solos for the two songs, trying to match the different atmospheres: Hounds of Hell with its dark character, and D Day with its catchy hook and classic rock attitude."
Johannes Weik (Son of a Bach)
