In Memory of Becky Prentice

We are honoring the life of Becky Prentice. She passed away on August 20th, 2021 in Blackfoot, Idaho

Becky was extraordinarily proud of her family’s military heritage. Her father served during WWII in a glider infantry regiment. She had four children and a daughter-in-law who have served or are serving in the United States Navy or United States Air Force. She never missed an opportunity to brag about how proud she was of them. Becky embodies the spirit of Fisher House. She would always drop everything to go and help out her kids when their military duties called for it. 

Fisher House is a "home away from home" where families of wounded, ill or injured veterans and service members - from all five branches of our Armed Forces - can stay at no cost while their loved ones receive treatment away from home. A long-term stay in a hospital, often thousands of miles from home, can lead to unmanageable burdens and significant expenses for family members needing to be a part of their loved one’s healing process. Since 1990, Fisher House has provided 10 million days of free lodging and has served 400,000 families.
